Beneath the Surface
This series captures moments of explosion or transformation where the pressure - as fuel or silence - built up beneath the surface,
reaches a breaking point
and erupts into release.
Release is destructive , it becomes a force of transformation though.
New grounds after the act of burning can be fertile.
These works reflect the inner tensions of release, moments of implosion, when pressure boils over and the fire within forces the hidden-suppressed
into the open.
Here, fire
not only consumes,
but nurtures.
